BARBARA ALVAREZ

Marketing and Operations Manager

Originally from the Dominican Republic, Barbara joined Security National in January 2008 and works in a Marketing and Operations Management position for the company. Barbara holds a Bachelor in Economics and is currently completing her final semester of a Master of Business Administration, majoring in International Business and Marketing. Her main responsibilities involve focusing on target markets and attracting, maintaining and expanding the company’s client base through creating and delivering superior customer values. She assists in maintaining and improving the operational procedures of the business as well as providing assistance in the area of AFSL compliance and ensuring that we are taking full advantage of procedure to improve the sales and marketing process.

LAURA KERTON

Client Service Manager

Laura joined Security National in November 2006 and works in an Adviser Support and Client Service Management role for Ion Whykes and Sam Ball. Prior to working at Security National she completed a Bachelor of Arts and First Class Honours at Monash University. She has also previously worked in accounts administration. Laura is available to assist with day-to-day client and administrative queries.

SAMANTHA SWITALA

Client Service Manager

Samantha has been working for Michael Ibbotson and Keith Lawson as their Client Service Manager since 2007. Samantha completed a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting and a Bachelor of Communication. Her main responsibilities involve attending to general client enquiries and administration processes. Samantha is available to assist with client enquiries, administrative processes and fund manager queries.

CHAMILA MANIYANGAMAGE

Client Service Manager

Originally from Sri Lanka, Chamila joined Security National in 2006 in an Adviser Support and Client Service Management role. Her background is in banking and advertising and she is currently studying a Diploma of Financial Services specialising in Financial Planning. Chamila provides support to Ion Whykes and Sam Ball and is available to answer all client and fund manager queries.

WARWICK WILSON

Part-Time Client Service Manager

Warwick joined Security National after completing a Bachelor of Commerce specialising in Finance and Management, and a Bachelor of Business Honours degree specialising in International Business. Warwick works in an Adviser Support and Client service Management role for Ion Whykes and Sam Ball. He is available to answer all client and fund manager queries.

CATHERINE PRIOR

Part-Time Receptionist

Catherine joined Security National in December 2007. She works as a receptionist and administration assistant. She is responsible for the front desk, meeting and welcoming visitors and liaising with a wide range of clients. She also manages a busy switchboard and handles ad hoc queries. Catherine provides support to the administration team and she brings to the job over twenty-eight years experience in the customer service industry.

MELISSA HANSEN

Client Service Manager

Melissa has been working for Peter Budge in an adviser support role since 2001. Her main responsibilities involve attending to all administrative processes. Melissa is available to assist with day-to-day client and fund manager queries.

CHRISTINE GUMLEY

Client Service Manager

Christine has been working with David Gumley CFP in an adviser support role since 1997. Christine deals with all the client enquiries, she has developed sound knowledge and skills in the area of administrative processes and fund manager enquiries. Christine also manages all of David’s account administration.

KEN FAULKS

Chartered Accountant

Ken is owner and operator of KJF Consulting, he is a chartered accountant and has many years experience in the areas of personal taxation advice, SME accounting and Self Managed Superfund administration.

MICHAEL DE MARCO

Assistant Accountant

Michael De Marco Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting, Financial Planning and Finance from Deakin University. Michael works for KJF Consulting as an accountant, administering Self Managed Super Funds, contributing to the output of quarterly and yearly financial reports and also the day-to-day operation of Self Managed Superannuation Funds.
